Fused Glass featuring Totem Artwork

Details

The original artwork for these fused glass ornaments is three feet tall! It is amazing how small the image was made to create these. Most of the details are in tact! Catches the sun through the glass and can easily be hung using the copper loop. Although the art on each is the same, there are small differences in size Ranging from almost 4 inches to just above four inches. Comes safely packaged but these things are tougher than they look!

fused glass is so fascinating and the addition of imagery is even more so! First, the image is printed out using toner ink. The printed image can be sandwiched between tow pieces of glass or put on top of the glass. This is also the part of the process where the copper ring is put in. After all of that the glass is put into a kiln to fuse. During firing the paper burns away leaving the image behind. the copper ring becomes a part of the fused glass as the glass has melded around it.
